JOHN DOUGH WORKSHOP

KNEAD TO KNOW SOURDOUGH? JOIN ALONG IN AN INTIMATE 2.5-HOUR HANDS-ON SOURDOUGH CLASS WHERE YOU WILL LEARN THE BASIC TECHNIQUES TO MAKE SOURDOUGH AT HOME.

CURRENT CLASSES ARE MAXED AT 6 PEOPLE

YOU WILL TAKE HOME:

  • ACTIVE JOHN DOUGH SOURDOUGH STARTER

  • ONE BANNETON (proofing baskets)

  • DOUGH SCRAPER

  • SCORING BLADE (LAME)

  • ONE READY-TO-BAKE THE NEXT DAY LOAF

  • RECIPE, TIMING & TECHNIQUES SHEET

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • CAST IRON OR ENAMEL POT, LARGE ENOUGH TO BAKE A LOAF OF BREAD IN USING YOUR HOME OVEN

  • KITCHEN SCALE (10 lb max recommended)

  • PROBE THERMOMETER (optional but highly recommended)

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • THIS IS A BYOB EVENT. PLEASE SECURE A RIDE OR DRIVE RESPONSIBLY

  • THE CLASS WILL BEGIN WITH A “HOW TO” SCORE AND BAKE A FRESH LOAF OF BREAD TO EAT DURING THE CLASS.
